Assistant Director of Fundraising

During the Covid-19 pandemic, NET has been working as a central coordinating and facilitating body, working closely with and using the capacity of existing organisations, to achieve its fundraising objectives. We have raised almost £100m during the last five months and are now focused on preparation for the next emergency.


The role of Assistant Director for Fundraising will have a key part in shaping the NET’s fundraising approach and keep ahead of all opportunities available to the organisation in terms of funding including charitable trusts, community fundraising as well as corporates and major donors.


As a candidate, you will need to have solid senior experience in the voluntary sector, have strong knowledge and wide experience of fundraising sources and approaches. You will also possess excellent skills in engaging with major donors, external stakeholders, trustees, and volunteers, as well as ensuring there is equity and fairness in NET’s approach.


The ideal candidate will take a creative and innovative approach to fundraising, and a good understanding of modern and emerging fundraising forums.


It will help if you have good knowledge and experience of the four UK nations coupled with great negotiation and communication skills. A good grounding in equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) would also be extremely valuable.
