Kinergy is a specialist counselling agency offering support for survivors of sexual violence, supporting the victims and their families, friends and partners. Counsellors have gone through specialist training and are either post qualification or in the process of gaining a professional qualification. Kinergy aims to bring back independence to individuals’ lives by helping them explore the impact of trauma and self-aware of their thought processes.
Kinergy also provides important information regarding mental health and the impact that sexual violence and abuse have on society. Many of those who turn to Kinergy also suffer from other mental health challenges like depression and anxiety; and have seen an increase of 72% on their services over the pandemic.
Funding from the National Emergencies Trust, through the Quartet Community Foundation, contributed to the transfer of counselling services online for clients who are currently in counselling or on a waiting list, ensuring that vital support can still be provided from a safe social distance.
