Willen Hospice provides compassionate end of life care for local people, either at their peaceful lakeside hospice, or in their own homes. They seek to relieve pain and suffering so those they support can live a life that is meaningful for them with the time they have left.
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, many elderly or terminally ill people have experienced social isolation. The hospice team has worked hard to combat that by maintaining a range of services to assist both patients and their friends and family.
Funding from the National Emergencies Trust, through the Milton Keynes Community Foundation, has contributed to provide specialist medical equipment and personal protective equipment to keep patients safe at an incredibly challenging time.
