The National Emergencies Trust is seeking new trustees to our Board.
We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the overall governance of the charity and, in particular, can bring new ideas for raising brand awareness, and those who can help us to create new fundraising opportunities. But we would also love to hear from those who feel they can offer something else that adds to what we do.
We are keen to welcome applications from those with lived experiences that are currently underrepresented on our Board, in particular, but not exclusively:
- People under the age of 40
- Disabled people; and
- People from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities
Passion and transferable skills are essential. Previous Board/Trustee experience is highly desirable.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Board meetings are currently held virtually. Ordinarily, they will take place in central London. Attendance at required meetings should be in person unless otherwise advised.
Outside of emergency appeals, the Board meets four times a year, as well as holding an annual Strategy Day. Time commitments increase during emergency appeals, when decision making must be made at speed.
Please email your CV and a covering letter (maximum two pages) outlining how your skills and transferable skills can add value to the NET Board to: firstname.lastname@example.org
