What’s it all about?

Every year, the Big Give run a ‘Christmas Challenge’, and this year the National Emergencies Trust (opens in a new tab) is taking part. Excitingly, for the week duration of the Big Give campaign, your donations to the Trust are doubled. One donation, twice the impact!

We are raising money to improve the mental health support available to survivors of UK disasters. Your donations (opens in a new tab) allow us to ensure that meaningful, timely and accessible mental health support is available to all those affected so they can rebuild their lives.

How will your money help?

The National Emergencies Trust exists to make life better for UK disaster survivors. One way we can do that is to create meaningful and accessible ways to access mental health support after a disaster.

Donating to our Big Give campaign (opens in a new tab) will help us to make progress on this important priority in the coming months.

“Mine and my son’s lives changed forever the night of the attack. Despite leaving physically unharmed, we were left with psychological scars that last a lifetime. Having the right support in place, at the right time is so crucial for anyone who experiences trauma.”

-- Dr Cath Hill, Manchester Arena attack survivor and National Emergencies Trust Survivors Advisory Forum member

We have worked alongside survivors like Cath to understand their needs and how we can best provide meaningful support in the aftermath of a disaster.

“After acts of terrorism you may assume that stable and sufficient support is easy to come by. Sadly, this was not the case. The journey to recovery was always going to be difficult, but we never knew how challenging it would be to find help that wasn’t more damaging and triggering.”

-- Young Manchester Arena attack survivor

Donating to our Big Give campaign (opens in a new tab) this week allows us to make this support more widely and readily available. It's never been a better time to give to National Emergencies Trust. This week every donation - no matter the size - will be doubled!

A big thank you goes to
