News and blogs

The National Emergencies Trust remembers all those affected by the Manchester Arena attack, seven years on.

Flowers, balloons and messages left in Manchester after the Manchester Arena attack, including a heart-shaped balloon reading 'Manchester'.

Today marks seven years since 22 innocent people were tragically killed, and many more injured, in a terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert on 22 May 2017 at Manchester Arena.

We remember them, and think about the many thousands of family members, friends and loved ones whose lives have been affected by the tragic events that happened that evening.

A minute's silence will be held at Manchester Victoria station during a memorial service which will be held at 12pm today. A second minute’s silence will take place at 10.31pm to mark the moment when the attack happened.

A special drone display will be shown over the Glade of Light memorial in Manchester from 10.19pm to 10.31pm. People are invited to watch it from the Manchester Cathedral Approach from 10pm.
