Marking the sixth anniversary of the Westminster Bridge terror attack

News and blogs

The National Emergencies Trust remembers all those affected by the Westminster Bridge terror attack, six years ago today.

Flowers laid opposite the Houses of Parliament, with Big Ben, a red bus and people walking past.

Six years ago today, five people sadly lost their lives and more than 50 people were injured during a terrorist attack on Westminster Bridge. The National Emergencies Trust remembers all those affected by the attack, from the bereaved families, the injured and survivors, who continue to live with the impacts of that day.

As we pause to commemorate them, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for survivors, like Travis Frain, who have generously offered their time and invaluable lived experience to our Survivors’ Advisory Forum.

By sharing their insights and guidance, these courageous individuals help to ensure that the National Emergencies Trust can provide the best possible support to those affected by terrorism and other domestic disasters, in the future.

Read Travis’ personal account of the Westminster Bridge terror attack and learn how he turns his experiences of hate to hope for others.
