The National Emergencies Trust has been chosen to feature in the official Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album, which is being released on Thursday 2nd June 2022.
Titled Her Majesty The Queen: The Official Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album, this fully illustrated coffee-table book will celebrate the life and reign of Her Majesty, and explore developments in the UK and around the world over the past seven decades. It will also showcase a range of aligned organisations, all selected for their transformational contribution across the worlds of culture, society, technology and business.
The National Emergencies Trust was chosen to be part of the Album in recognition of the contribution of its £100million Coronavirus Appeal to UK society during the Covid-19 pandemic. The album will feature an interview with Chief Executive, Mhairi Sharp in which she speaks about how the Trust works closely with survivors from past emergencies so that during the next UK disaster, it can meet survivors’ complex needs.
Mhairi Sharp, Chief Executive, said: “We’re incredibly honoured to be asked to feature in the official Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Album in recognition of the Trust’s contribution to the UK during the pandemic and our commitment to future emergency survivors. The Trust benefits hugely from the Patronage of His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge so it’s particularly special to be invited to be part of an Album celebrating the life and reign of Her Majesty. We would like to wish Her Majesty the very best for her upcoming Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.”
The only official book published for the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, the album will be launched on 5 June 2022 as part of the UK’s unique four-day bank holiday weekend of jubilee celebrations of The Queen’s extraordinary 70-year reign.
Produced by publisher St James’s House and written by royal authors Robert Jobson and Katie Nicholl, with contributions by Tom Parker Bowles, this hardback coffee- table book will be officially launched on The Mall in central London during the pageant, with a second launch event taking place at Claridge’s hotel.
