News and blogsThe National Emergency Fundraisers programme that will help us provide the best possible support to those affected by domestic disasters

This week we have announced the launch of a National Emergency Fundraisers programme that will help us provide the best possible support to those affected by domestic disasters.
We’re piloting the programme in Scotland where we will be inviting networked organisations like Business in the Community and Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, to take part because they are perfectly placed to help fundraise at village and street level during UK disasters. We then plan to extend the programme to other nationwide businesses and groups in 2023.
During the pandemic we saw an extraordinary response by communities to the challenges posed. Incredible people stepped up for their neighbours and strangers, showing phenomenal acts of kindness during the bleakest of times. The idea of National Emergency Fundraisers is to channel that same community spirit and energy into super-fast fundraising during future UK disasters, and make a meaningful difference to people in urgent need.
If you and your organisation would like to help someone to rebuild their life or livelihood after a national disaster, whether that’s a major flood, fire, terror attack or tragic accident, do get in touch with our team. You’ll receive early warning alerts and the tools and support needed to help us act fast for survivors and their loved ones.
